December 2023 Updates
This release of the DC One-Stop Business Portal will contain the following features:
- Business Dashboard and Checklist Updates
- Sidewalk Site Approval Process Updates
- Street Vending Business License Application Updates
- Street Vending Business License Application Notifications
Business Dashboard and Checklist Updates
The business dashboard and checklists were updated to better organize the information. In addition to the redesign the following updates were made:
- Ability to apply for the basic business checklist item after the DC Health Inspection.
- Ability for street vending business owners to start a new checklist when adding or replacing their vehicles.
- Ability for an applicant to abandon an application from their dashboard.
Sidewalk Site Approval Process Updates
- Ability for the applicant to receive email notifications when sidewalk location requests are approved.
- For a sidewalk location, if the street vending license application is left unpaid for 7 business days, the application will become abandoned.
- For a non-sidewalk location, if the street vending license application is left unpaid for 5 business days, the application will become abandoned.
Street Vending Business License Application Updates
- Ability to request a vending unit inspection appointment on the checklist
- The welcome back page will display the stage of the application.
- If deficient, there will be instructions on how to remedy their application.
- Business Owners will be able to resubmit their deficient vehicle cart applications to be re-reviewed.
- If deficient, there will be instructions on how to remedy their application.
- Ability to abandon a vending unit application if it has been deficient for 7 business days.
- Ability to opt out of SMS reminders.
- Ability to reschedule or cancel vending unit inspection appointments.
- Ability to upload the DC Health Inspection report.
- Ability to pay for the Propane Permit application within the portal.
- Ability to reschedule a propane permit inspection which has previously failed.
- Ability to reschedule a vending unit inspection which has previously failed.
Street Vending Business License Application Notifications
- Ability to notify business owners of the following:
- Their site permit details once approved.
- Their invoice information and instructions on how to pay for it.
- Email reminders of their upcoming vending unit inspections appointment in 3 days.
- Email confirmation with their vending unit inspection appointment details.
- If opted into SMS reminders, the applicant will receive the welcome message
- Status update notifications will be sent when DLCP and/or FEMS passes or fails the vending unit inspection
