We are excited to officially launch our business spring of 2015.
By answering specific questions pertaining to our business needs, DCRA’s Small Business Resource Center (SBRC) provided us with information and resources vital to the opening and growth of our business. Not only were they able to provide regulatory process assistance, but they also directed us to the services we needed (e.g. business planning workshops, non-profit information, etc.).
As a family owned business and a catalyst in the community to promote change, we are passionate in helping families that struggle with alcohol and substance abuse; we call it when “Innovation meets fun.” The goal is to create an environment where children ages 0-12 are engaged in a variety of activities, including slides, climbing and jumping, interactive video games, and imaginative play. We will also provide family, parenting and life skill counseling.
“Our advice to anyone starting and growing a business in Washington, DC is to use the Small Business Resource Center (SBRC) at DCRA to help direct and guide you in properly developing your business. DCRA’s SBRC helped us identify the direction of the foundation, the correct forms to be completed, and even directed us to the online services that were available to save time which enabled us to also save money when submitting our paperwork.”
