Consumer Goods (Auto Repair) refers to the business activity of restoring broken, damaged, or failed device(s) of a motor vehicle. If you perform repair services on motor vehicles in the District of Columbia, fix damaged car structures, refinish interiors, exteriors and spoiled metal frames of vehicles, handle dents, scratches and more extensive damage caused by everyday use and accidents, a Basic Business License for the Consumer Goods (Auto Repair) category is required per D.C. Municipal Regulations Title 16, Chapter 6.
